Your Role

As the business grows, we are now looking for more Quality Engineers for the quality department in missile production, Björkborn, Karlskoga.

As a Production Quality Engineer, you will participate in development projects and qualification of new products and equipment in production. You will work cross-functionally where you are responsible for developing, preparing, and defining quality processes, quality assurance, and quality controls in production. You will drive and participate in improvement projects across various production areas. In this role, you will support and drive quality issues in different forums, which entails a responsibility to contribute to a continuous improvement culture where the customer is always at the center.

Examples of what we work with:

• Lead and coordinate quality and improvement work in production
• Plan, participate in, and follow up on verification and qualification of equipment
• Investigate root causes of deviations, define corrective actions, and follow up
• Participate in quality audits (product and process)
• Lead and participate in various meeting forums regarding quality.

Your Profile

As a Production Quality Engineer, we see a responsible problem solver who enjoys working in teams as well as independently. To succeed in this role, you should have good communication skills as the role requires you to convincingly explain quality risks to others. We value an unpretentious personality that is open to change and development. We will consider personal qualities to match our existing team on site.

To succeed in the role, it is desirable that you have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in areas such as quality and mechanics.
• Two years of experience working in the quality field
• Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driving license B

It is advantageous if you have:

• Knowledge of quality systems and quality standards
• Experience working with areas such as Lean and root cause analysis.
• Experience working with development
• Experience leading people

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
